Wrestlemania Night 1 features three championship matches, with three other matches; as well as an appearance by Stone Cold Steve Austin on the KO Show.

Match #1: Seth Rollins v. ???

Smoke and Mirrors… The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes! That’s at least, who I want it to be. As well as every other wrestling fan in the world. I think Cody comes out; I’m not sure how, but that’s what I’m thinking. It’s the greatest long term storytelling I’ve seen on accident- the last time Cody (as Stardust) was in a WWE Ring was at Wrestlemania 32; which was also at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. How fitting- 6 years later he returns better than over and a fan favorite against a great specialist like Seth Rollins.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes comes. He wins.

Match #2: Ronda Rousey v. Charlotte Flair (champ)

This booking has been something… and Charlotte’s reign has been semi-forgettable with lack of defenses and opponents given to her. The build for this match has been okay- but I think the draw is in the people. Two big names, for the championship. Ronda’s not held the SD Title yet, and what a perfect time to be put over for a new badass in the SD Women’s Division. It gives the opportunity for more competitors that haven’t faced Rousey, and I’m all for Charlotte putting a banger on.

Prediction: Ronda Rousey wins the championship.

Match #3: Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs v. The Usos (champs)

I’ve got Shinsuke and Boogs taking this one. Why? The draw. One of the catchiest songs in all of wrestling, a jacked guy playing a guitar, with the combination of Shinsuke in the ring? Magic is bound to happen especially against talents like The Usos. I think this match is going to be good- and I’m looking forward to Shinsuke and Boogs’ entrance. It could go either way, but I think I’ve got Shinsuke and Boogs.

Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs become tag team champs.

Match #4: Drew McIntyre v. Happy Corbin

Definitely taking the main event draw of McIntyre here. Nobody has ever kicked out of an End of Days, and that streak is about to be diminished by McIntyre. This needs to end, so that he can get back into the main title picture and dethrone Roman Reigns. (This has been my long term fantasy booking since Survivor Series 2020.) I think Riddick Moss attempts to interfere; but fails. Drew hits the Claymore; and it’s over.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre wins.

Match #5: Rey & Dominik Mysterio v. The Miz and Logan Paul

I really think we oughta respect The Miz for consistently working and handling talents outside WWE. He’s perfect at that role. He’s just an unimaginable heel. I think Dominik needs work still, I’ve hoped for an NXT run eventually, but I don’t know. I’m going Mysterios here, for the sole purpose of Rey Mysterio and his illustrious career. I won’t be mad if Miz wins, but I don’t like Logan Paul all that much. I bet on an incredible few spots; I can see Logan trying to do some crazy stuff.

Prediction: Rey & Dominik Mysterio take the dub.

Match #6: Bianca Belair v. Becky Lynch (champ)

Look- this is one I was very sure about a month ago. But as it being the day of; I’m struggling a lot more. I’ve thought Bianca was taking this for MONTHS since Becky defeated her at Summerslam. But Big Time Becks; she’s incredible and she’s done so much already. I hate to see her reign end. I want Becky, but I predict Bianca. I think this match will steal the show. This will be match of the night and I’m here for that excellence. I won’t be mad either way. My heart picks Becky, but I feel Bianca will get the moment. She needs it more, but I’m excited just to see it. The contenders after this match are going to be off the charts; especially if you’ve got all these comebacks. (I.e. Bayley, Asuka, Lacey, Alexa) I’m taking Becky for my heart’s pick.

Prediction: Becky Lynch retains the Raw Women’s Champion.

Match/Segment #6: The Kevin Owens Show with special guest Stone Cold Steve Austin

Who cares? He’s Stone Cold Steve Austin! I better see a stunner and some cold beers.

Wrestlemania Night 1 begins at 5 pm tonight on Peacock from Dallas, Texas. Pre-show is on right now, and I’m looking forward to tonight! Here’s to something stupendous. Tune in for my night two predictions tomorrow!
